Contemporary.
Interpretive expression blending ballet, jazz, and modern. Strong legwork, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation. Ballet training required beforehand.

Contemporary and lyrical dance are interpretive forms of expression that blend techniques from ballet, jazz, modern, and other dance styles.
Contemporary features strong legwork, floor work, fall and recovery movements, and improvisation. Lyrical has a fluid quality, with dynamics matched to music and lyrics to convey emotion and narrative.
Both forms allow a great deal of freedom and self-expression. Classes are available for dancers age 10 and up. Ballet training is required beforehand.
