Established in 2003 by Catherine Sciarratta. Six disciplines of dance for ages 3 through adult, plus evening classes and workshops in the summer.
We believe that studying dance makes a life-long impression on an individual. Through the process of learning traditional, classical ballet and dance, our students grow into hardworking and confident young people, with the ability to exhibit grace and poise in every facet of their lives.
We believe that intention, expressiveness, motivation, performance quality, musicality, and communication within the art of dance are of the utmost importance.
Many of Cathy's long-time students have graduated from FLBA and gone on to collegiate dance programs and local companies.

Grew up dancing at Sandy Stramonine School of Dance, and studied and danced with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Owned and operated the Durango Ballet Academy before returning to New York. Has owned and operated FLBA since its beginning in 2003.
BA in English and Education from Nazareth College. Has attended classes at FLBA, Sandy Stramonine, Broadway Dance Center, Manhattan Dance Project, and a private master class for FLBA at American Ballet Theater. Dance Masters of America–certified in ballet, tap, jazz and modern.
BFA in Dance from The College at Brockport (2012), with study abroad in London. Has performed at Jacob's Pillow in Becket MA, Dance New Amsterdam in NYC, and Rochester Fringe Festival. Currently a company member of Delucia Benson Dance.
MFA in Dance from The Ohio State University, where he performed in works by Mark Morris and Bebe Miller. Former company member with Garth Fagan Dance, Columbus Dance Theatre and GroundWorks DanceTheatre. Has performed at sea with Holland America and Norwegian Cruise Line, and internationally at Tokyo Disney Resort.
